TRIP has benefited from the contributions of many students from different education institutions throughout BC. Here is a list of the many that have worked on our activities:
Reiko Allen (VIU) - editor of the Tour Packaging how to manual (spring 2008).
Kordell Bergen (VIU) - Author of the Malaspina Ucluelet Research Alliance case study.
Dustin Bodnaryk (VIU) - 2006 Northern TRIP participant and 2007 Northern Regional Liaison, author of many innovation snapshots, coordinator of the Northern Rockies Value of Tourism project and author of the Case on the Alaska Highway Community Initiative.
Sandra Borden (TRU) - Sandra was a participant in the 2008 Coastal Extension Tour and author of two innovation snapshots.
Spencer Buck (VIU) - Collaborator on the Ladysmith Community Signage audit process and the development of a DVD on how to conduct a signage audit (Spring 2008).
Danielle Burrows (VIU) - Collaborator on the Ucluelet Community Signage audit process and the development of a DVD on how to conduct a signage audit (Spring 2008).

Cody Courtney (VIU) - Participant on the 2006 Northern TRIP extension tour.
Richard Crowley (VIU) - 2007 Central BC TRIP exenstion tour participant and 2007 Southern BC regional liaison. Richard worked on the International Selkirk Loop case, authored numerous innovation snapshots, conducted signage work with Golden and undertook the value of the not for profit sector to tourism study.
Mark Darbyshire (VIU) - Collaborator on the Ladysmith Community Signage audit process and the development of a DVD on how to conduct a signage audit (Spring 2008).
Karla Duarte (VIU) - contributor to the Likely Community Tourism Plan process and the Mowahaht Muchalaht First Nations Participatory Rapid Appraisal.
Amber Faktor (UNBC) Amber was a participant in the 2008 Coastal Extension Tour and author of two innovation snapshots.
Megan Fisher (VIU) Megan was a participant in the 2008 Coastal Extension Tour and author of two innovation snapshots. She also worked as a research assistant for the project during the summer of 2008.
Richard Giele (VIU) - Participant in 2006 Northern Extension tour, coordinator of Taylor RRA, Island regional liaison for 2006, author of Taylor case study, Hornby Island Case study, and Chemainus case study, author of numerous innovation snapshots, presenter at COTA conference, coordinator of the Mowahaht Muchalaht First Nations Participatory Rapid Appraisal AND recipient of the 2007 Go2 award based on all his accomplishments.
Brad Goodwin (VIU) - Participant on the 2007 extension tour through Central BC and producer of two DVD's for TRIP including the extension tour recruitment DVD and the dialogue on rural tourism DVD.
Shane Hartman (VIU and University of Northern BC) - participant on the 2006 Northern Extension tour and presenter at the Quesnel Aboriginal Tourism workshop.
Rachel Huber (VIU) - Participant in the 2007 extension tour through Central BC and author of numerous innovation snapshots.
Amanda Keir (VIU) - Contributor to the Mowahaht Muchalaht First Nations Participatory Rapid Appraisal process 2008.
Diane Kutzner (University of Northern BC) - Presenter at the 2007 Learning Initiatives in Rural and Northern BC (LIRN) workshops in Quesnel (Aboriginal Tourism) and Fort St. James (Destination branding).
Jason Langlois (VIU) - contributor to DVD production and evaluation of the Protected Areas Research Conference.
Randy Love (Thompson Rivers University)- 2007 Central BC TRIP extension tour participant and 2007 Central BC regional liaison. Randy worked on the Likely case study, coordinated the "Realities of tourism SME" report, authored numerous case studies and conducted signage work with Chase.
Maureen Massini - (College of New Caledonia) - Participant in the 2007 extension tour through Central BC and author of one innovation snapshot.
Carolyn Mead (VIU) - Participant on the 2007 extension tour through Central BC, author of numerous innovation snapshots and author of the "Understanding your visitor" how to manual (in process) and coordinator of question and answers for the website. She was also instrumental in the Likely Community Tourism Plan process.
Anke Metzger (VIU) - contributor to the Likely Community Tourism Plan process.

Catherine Moores (College of the Rockies) - 2006 Southern BC regional liaison, author of the Oliver case, numerous innovation snapshots and contributor to the 2006 liaision report and DVD production.
Michael Neville (VIU) - Contributor to Community Tourism Foundations planning with Richard Hudson for Quadra Island 2006 and contributor to the Mowahaht Muchalaht First Nations Participatory Rapid Appraisal 2008.
Cameron Rauschenberger (Thompson Rivers University) - 2006 Central BC Regional Liaison, author of the Williams Lake case study, numerous innovation snapshots and contributor to the 2006 liaison report and first DVD.
Kate Reade (UNBC) - Contributor to the coordination of the 2006 BC Protected Areas Research Forum in Victoria (co-sponsored by TRIP)
Tony Salzer (VIU) - Collaborator on the Ucluelet Community Signage audit process and the development of a DVD on how to conduct a signage audit (Spring 2008).
LA Shibish (VIU) LA was a participant in the 2008 Coastal Extension Tour and author of two innovation snapshots. She, along with Tracy Simpson will present at the World Leisure Congress in October (Quebec City) on the benefits of extension activity to student learning.
Tracy Simpson (VIU) Tracy was a participant in the 2008 Coastal Extension tour, author of an innovation snapshot and a research assistant with TRIP during the summer of 2008. She, along with LA Shibish will present at the World Leisure Congress in October (Quebec City) on the benefits of extension activity to student learning.
Tracy Simpson, Doug Craig, Danielle Burrows and Sebastian Sneider (VIU) - contributors to the development of a database and mapping project for rural tourism in BC.
Chrystal Stone (VIU) - Participant in the 2006 Northern Extension tour, author of the Taylor case study and author of the popular "Welcome: Community Signage Manual". She also received the 2007 Go2 award for her contributions to the field.
Darren Terhune (VIU) - Worked on the design and development of the TRIP website with Alanna Williams from Internet Production (Media Studies) at VIU. This was no small undertaking and his work is excellent!
Lea Thuot (VIU) - 2007 Island regional liaison. Lea developed a series of visitor profiles for the Vancouver Island region (available from http://www.islands.bc.ca/ ), undertook a market analysis for an Interpretive Centre for Horne Lake Caves, developed promotional materials for TRIP and formatted 50 innovation snapshots for the web. She was also instrumental in the Likely Community Tourism Plan process.
Diane Weatherston (COTR) Diane was a participant in the 2008 Coastal Extension tour.
Jeff Vos (VIU) - Collaborator on the first TRIP through BC and Alberta in 2005 and research assistant in 2006 to support the Northern TRIP. Jeff's contributions (and driving!) helped TRIP in its initial stages tremendously.
Courtney Worsely (UNBC) - Courtney was a participant in the 2008 Coastal Extension tour.
Jody Young (VIU) was a participant in the 2008 coastal extension tour.
Thank you to Raun Rainbow, Amber Crofts, Ashley Rowe, Jeff Vos and Lara Prince (VIU) for their inaugural trip across Alberta and BC in 2005. Your insights helped to shape TRIP and the activities to support rural tourism development.
